From Staking ETH to Liquid ReStaking
This page describes the process of Staking to ReStaking and how this becomes Liquid ReStaking
Staking and ReStaking with Aqua Patina (AP)
Staking:
Aqua Patina simplifies your engagement with Ethereum staking, handling the technical aspects for you. By participating through the AP protocol, your ETH is used to validate transactions on the Ethereum network, contributing to its security and efficiency. Validators are compensated with rewards, including newly minted ETH and transaction fee shares, directly reflecting your active involvement in the network. This process also supports Ethereum’s governance, helping secure the future of the blockchain.
ReStaking:
ReStaking with Aqua Patina is fully managed by the protocol, meaning you don't need to manually adjust settings or choose complex configurations. The protocol automatically sets your withdrawal address to an Eigenpod address, ensuring your stake is ready to secure Actively Validated Services (AVS). Aqua Patina optimizes the ReStaking process based on your profile, including factors like risk tolerance and hardware capacity. This means that while higher risks could offer increased rewards, all decisions are handled by the protocol, designed to align with your preferences.
Liquid ReStaking:
When participating in staking and ReStaking, your ETH is effectively engaged across multiple layers of the blockchain. To maintain liquidity and access to your staked ETH, Aqua Patina issues a Liquid ReStaking Token called apETH. This token reflects your staked ETH and offers several uses:
Flexibility: apETH can be traded on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) if you need to access your assets quickly.
Easy Withdrawal: You can withdraw your staked ETH by returning apETH to the AP pool, simplifying the exit process.
DeFi Integration: apETH can be utilized in DeFi ecosystems, allowing you to provide liquidity, lend, or use it as collateral.
Aqua Patina’s protocol manages these complex processes seamlessly, enabling you to focus on the benefits of staking and ReStaking without the technical burdens.
